Lorazepam

Lorazepam, the rx 773 small white pill, is part of a group of medicaments called benzodiazepines. It is used to treat anxiety, insomnia, panic disorder etc.

The lorazepam should not be used if you are allergic to it or other benzodiazepines like alprazolam (Xanax), diazepam (Valium), clorazepate ( Tranxene), chlordiazepoxide (Librium) or oxazepam (Serax). Pregnant women should not use lorazepam since it can cause birth defects in an unborn child. Before commencing to take lorazepam, inform your doctor of any respiratory problems, kidney or liver diseases, history of depression or addictions. Avoid drinking alcohol while using the small white pill because it enhances the effects of alcohol. Lorazepam causes sleepiness so avoid taking other drugs that have the same side effect. Taking lorazepam may develop into a habit, so it should only be taken by the person is prescribed. It should never be shared with other people, particularly ones that are known to have abused drugs in the past. Keep the drug safe and out of reach of other people, especially children.The lorazepam is imprinted with rx773.

Precautions

Never purchase lorazepam on the Internet or from unreliable vendors. Drugs sold on the internet may not be distributed by a legitimate pharmacy and may contain dangerous substances. Some of the lorazepam pills bought on the Internet were found to contain haloperidol (Haldol), a very strong antipsychotic medicament with alarming side effects.

Do not use lorazepam if you suffer from narrow-angle glaucoma, or if you have allergic reaction to it or other benzodiazepines. Before you decide to take lorazepam, consult with your doctor and inform him if you allergic to any drugs or have any of the following problems:

  • Glaucoma;
  • Respiratory problems like asthma, chronic pulmonary disorder, bronchitis, emphysema or other pulmonary disorders;
  • Some sort of liver or kidney disease;
  • A history of depression or suicidal behavior or
  • A history of drug abuse or alcohol addiction.

If any of these conditions are present, your doctor may order an adjustment dose or tests to determine if it is safe for you to use it.

Lorazepam should not be used during pregnancy because of potential birth defects that can cause in the baby. If the person becomes pregnant during treatment, she should inform her doctor instantly. It is advisable to use birth control while the treatment lasts. It is not yet determined if lorazepam passes to the breast milk or if it could be dangerous for the nursing baby.

The sleepiness that lorazepam causes can have bigger effect with older people. Elderly patient should be very cautious to avoid accidental injuries while taking lorazepam. Also, it is not allowed for children under 12 to use it.
